More than 150 brides-to-be, along with their Families and friends, attended the Fort Belvoir Bridal Fair Saturday at the Fort Belvoir Officer’s Club. Forty-five wedding related vendors provided access to DJ’s, bands, travel agents, photographers, hair and make-up stylists, florists, and wedding cake designers.
Christine Holland, a bride to be, from Arlington, Va., had her hair and make-up done by Statements Salon a vendor at the bridal fair.
“They really care and seem to be good stylists,” said Holland.Another vendor who has participated in several bridal fairs at the Officer’s Club is Philip Kent, of Philip Kent Photography Studio.“I’ve been doing this for awhile, and this is a very good venue for shows, weddings and receptions,” he said.

“This event grows more popular every year,” said Trinetta Bowen, catering director at the club. “In our wedding packages, we focus on the brides’ and grooms’ needs, we take care of every aspect of their needs.”

She added that the brides and the vendors said this was one of the best fairs in the area as the brides and vendors enjoyed interacting with each other. And they loved the fashion show.

Bowen also said that the Officer’s Club booked four weddings due to the bridal show. She added that prospective brides should be aware that the club will soon be offering new wedding packages and menus.
